Emma A. Neale
I’m currently a fourth year PhD candidate in the School of Public Policy and Administration (SPPA) at Carleton University, in Ottawa, Canada.
My research interests are in multi-disciplinary projects to combine economic, social and technical knowledge to enhance policy decisions.
My PhD research focuses on policy analysis in the Canadian aviation industry. Specifically, I am interested in determining policies which can contribute to a safe, competitive, affordable and sustainable aviation industry, which meet the needs of multiple objectives and multiple stakeholder preferences.
Prior to starting my PhD, I completed a master’s degree in economics, worked in the aviation industry for several years, and obtained my commercial pilots license. In my spare time you can find me up in the sky flight instructing.
